Moonee Valley Brass is one of the local community’s longest running community groups.  Originally Essendon City Band, we have been performing at local community events and at competitions around the country and overseas for over 100 years.  We greatly appreciate the support we receive from the Moonee Valley City Council and the local community.  We would also like to acknowledge the generous contributions of the Strathmore and Keilor branches of the Bendigo Bank.

Want to learn to play a brass or percussion instrument?

We invite you to join our newly founded development band – Aberfeldie Brass. The band is open to ages 7—97 and all abilities, from absolute beginners to those picking up an instrument after a long break.

Already being playing for a few years?

Moonee Valley Brass is the band for you! We’re a relaxed, family friendly band that performs at various events in the local community.

No instrument? No worries! – We have instruments available for hire!

Come and try a rehearsal—no obligation to join!
