Equipment Amnesty!

Moonee Valley Brass is holding an instrument and uniform amnesty from now until the end of September!

We’ve been fortunate to have a large number of people play with the band over the years however this has meant that sometimes equipment has been borrowed and accidentally not returned.

If you have a Moonee Valley Brass instrument or uniform from years past that you’ve been meaning to return, now is the time!

No questions asked, no late fees payable – we just want to get some of our equipment back.

Not sure if the instrument or uniform you have is from Moonee Valley Brass – feel free to check. We have a registrar of missing instruments!

Equipment can be returned any Monday night from 6.00pm at the Bradshaw St Community Hall (9 Bradshaw St, Essendon). Alternatively, you can email us at info@mooneevalleybrass.org to arrange another time.

Launch of our new Development Band

Moonee Valley Brass invites you to join our newly founded Development Band.

We strongly believe that it is never too late or too early to learn to play an instrument. A new study by researchers at St Andrews University in Scotland have found that even moderate musical activity can enhance brain function and slow, or even stop, age-related decline in mental function.

The band is open to ages 7—97 and all abilities, from absolute beginners to those picking up an instrument after a long break.

No instrument? No worries!
We have instruments available for hire!

Lessons are held each Monday night from 6.00pm—7.00pm at the Bradshaw St Community Hall (9 Bradshaw St, Essendon)

There is no fee for the lessons however a gold coin donation is welcomed. Instruments are available for hire for $25.00 per semester.

Our first session will take place on Monday July 14th.

Please email info@mooneevalleybrass.org to book your spot today!
